Maintain and adjust a control cable using its maker’s instructions. Some conventional cables require lubrication, but Venhill’s PTFE-lined control cables do not: added oil can retain dirt. A stiff, frayed or damaged cable needs inspection, not an assumed cure. Keep lubricant off brake friction surfaces.
