Circulatory shock is life-threatening, not simply feeling frightened. Signs include rapid shallow breathing and pale, cold, clammy skin. Call 999, treat serious bleeding, keep the person warm with a coat or blanket, reassure them calmly and monitor their response and breathing. Avoid unnecessary movement of an injured road casualty.
