DRABC means Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing and Circulation. Open an unresponsive person’s airway with a careful head tilt and chin lift and check for normal breathing for no more than ten seconds. Life-threatening bleeding needs urgent control. Use this assessment with immediate emergency help, not as a reason to delay calling 999.
