Lifting operations must be planned by a competent person, appropriately supervised and carried out safely. The crane and lifting accessories must be suitable, strong enough and examined as required. If a sling may fail, stop and make the situation safe under the lifting plan. Do not improvise with extra ropes, joined straps or load-securing chains and tensioners.
