For goods vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, national limits in England and Wales are 50 mph on single carriageways and 60 on dual carriageways and motorways; Scotland’s single and dual limits are 40 and 50. Buses and coaches have a 60 mph dual-carriageway limit. A vehicle towing a trailer is limited to 60 on motorways. Obey any lower posted limit; a limiter setting is not permission to exceed a road limit.
