You must meet the driving eyesight standard, using glasses or contact lenses if needed. Tell DVLA if a sight problem affects both eyes, or the remaining eye if you have only one, when required; needing ordinary corrective lenses alone does not normally require notification. Stop driving if you cannot meet the standard. Northern Ireland uses DVA.
