A tyre with lower rolling resistance needs less energy to roll and can reduce fuel use. Tyre labels also report wet grip and external noise: economy alone is not the only selection criterion. Fit a tyre appropriate for the vehicle, load and operating conditions, and maintain its specified pressure.
