Check car and trailer tyres for damage, correct load-adjusted pressure and at least 1.6 mm tread across the central three-quarters around the entire circumference. Check that trailer lights and indicators are undamaged and work. Repair a fault before towing; working car lights do not replace the trailer’s lights.
