The assimilated rules normally apply to passenger vehicles built for more than nine people including the driver. Regular services whose route does not exceed 50 km have a specific exemption; a long excursion is not that service. The non-commercial derogation for 10–17 seats does not cover an 18-passenger-seat bus.
