Metal loads can slide because of their weight and low friction. Chains are preferred, with physical restraint as appropriate; protect any approved straps from sharp edges. Secure an ISO container using its suitable twist locks and check they engage. A cover or rope is not a substitute for a restraint system that can withstand the load forces.
