With a suitable manual or semi-automatic transmission, selective or block changing can omit intermediate gears. Brake to the required speed and select the gear that matches it. When changing up, avoid fierce or prolonged acceleration in low gears. Follow the actual gearbox instructions; skipping a gear is not automatically efficient in every situation.
