Use a restraint system suited to the load and the vehicle’s rated anchorage points. Rope is not suitable for securing a load during a journey: its capacity and deterioration are uncertain. Rope may secure a lightweight cover after the load itself is restrained. Sheets and nets contain loose material or protect it from weather; they do not replace the required load restraint. Secure spare equipment too.
