Carry out a daily walkaround and record defects found before, during or after use. The operator must arrange assessment and repair, with dangerous vehicles kept out of service. Follow the applicable inspection and service schedules and manufacturer tolerances. Use the correct handbook or workshop instructions and competent repair staff; a manual alone does not authorise an untrained driver to undertake hazardous work.
