A rear projection exceeding 2 metres needs prescribed end marking. Under the Construction and Use guidance, loads wider than 2.9 metres require front and rear markers, police notice and additional lights in darkness or poor visibility. Lateral projection beyond 305 mm can also trigger requirements below that overall width. Check the complete configuration and applicable authorisation, not just one dimension.
