For overlapping weather sheets, put the rear sheet on first, then overlap it with each sheet towards the front. The exposed overlaps face backwards, reducing wind and rain entry. This physical sheeting detail comes from the earlier DfT load code; use current DVSA guidance for load restraint. A correctly overlapped cover does not make ropes suitable journey restraints. Use safe access equipment, not the load as a walkway.
