Cars may qualify for parking without lights on roads limited to 30 mph or less under the Code’s stated parking-place or kerbside conditions. Other vehicle types and projecting loads have different requirements. Be alert for parked cars that are hard to see; the 2,500 kg threshold in Rule 250 concerns goods vehicles, not every car.
