One thing is sent to you: a daily reminder that today's session is waiting. It is sent by the app on your phone, and it is set there.
Which days it comes on, and at what time, are answered once and kept with the rest of your plan.
This browser does not write your reminder days or your reminder time. What the app has is what you get.
Your plan, your test date and how long a day are shared between this browser and the app. The reminder itself is the one thing only the app can carry out, so it is the one thing only the app sets.
Open Lanekind on your phone, then Settings, then Daily reminder. Pick the days and the time there and it takes effect straight away. With reminders enabled, the app also reminds you at 18:00 UK time the evening before your booked test.
There is no on and off switch to find: turning every day off is how you stop being reminded, and nothing else about your plan changes when you do.
It skips the day of your test, and it stops once your test has been and gone. Turning reminders on or off does not change which days your plan can use. That separate choice lives under Study days; a chosen study day can still count whether or not a notification was sent.
Not a missing feature so much as a promise a web page is unable to keep.
A daily reminder has to arrive at the time you asked for, on a day you may not open anything. A phone can book that with its operating system months ahead and deliver it with the app shut. A browser cannot: a web notification is only delivered while the browser is running, so a laptop closed at six o’clock would simply never show the one you set for seven.
Drawing the switch anyway would mean a reminder that arrives on the days you happen to have your laptop open, which is worse than no reminder at all — because you would stop expecting it and it would still sometimes come.
Everything the reminder was going to point you at is one click away here, whenever you open it.
